Bonnaroo Camp Photos - 2008

Three cars (Honda Civic, Ford F250 truck and Subaru Impreza hatchback).  We seriously lucked out with an end space so we had a good 10' to the edge that was open.
So this little tent was our shower/toilet that Jake brought.  We were able to have it in that extra space away from everything else.  The tent you see is our tent - we were on the edge of our camping area.  You can see the Honda behind our tent - we were that close to the cars.

Okay, still our tent to the left of the photo.  As you see, we had two EZ-ups in the center.  D&T's tent was across from ours, M&S's was at the end of these EZ-ups and J's tent was between M&S and our tent.  T&D's tent was right behind the third car, M&S had their tent in front of the 2nd car.  So our campsite was still pretty much the width of three cars.

Again, our tent to the left.  You can see how we would take sheets and hang them from the EZ-ups.  This would help with setting/rising sun in your eyes and with keeping out the rain.  The red gingham is a tablecloth on a folding table - that was our camp kitchen.  We used coolers for end tables and everyone had a tailgating chair.

View from M&S's tent into the center of our camp.  Our tent is now to the right.  The EZ up you see past the polka-dotted shower curtain is our neighbor's camp.  That is how close you are to other people.

S modeling the camp site on a rainy night.  This is facing in, she is standing in front of her tent, our tent is to the left.  You can see how we connected tarps from the tents to the EZ-ups to have shelter from rain and sun.

K enjoying a beer for breakfast.  You hang out at camp until 11 or so so you don't get overtired or over-sunned.  This is why camp matters - for the times when you are just sitting around, recovering, eating, resting up for your big day.  K is sitting in front of T&D's tent.

Another pic of our campsite, from behind the "kitchen."  Hopefully my battery-operated Christmas lights will still work this year!

Jam session with the neighbors.  See, they were so close to us M&J didn't have to leave our camp to join in with them.  Our sheets are tucked up when the sun isn't blazing on us.

Another view of our camp.

Our neighbor's camp.  Picture taken from our camp.  Shows how close everyone is.  If you didn't know us, you would have thought we were of the same camp.  See how they used their car as part of their camping - many people do this if they are lucky enough to be able to be parked behind their car.  Both years we were there, we parked behind the FRONT of our cars so that wasn't really feasible for us.

Our neighbor's campsite.

This was the camp of some friends we met through a message board.  If I recall correctly, they went to an area that was tents only  - no cars.  I don't know if they still have that now with the fancy rentable tents.  But it gave more space, but you had to hike with all your equipment and leave your car.  But this is a good example of another person's camp site.

This shows the size of our tent.  This is a queen air mattress and a 12-person tent.  A foot or so on either side and there was a few feet at the foot of the mattress which is where we stored the coolers during the day and kept our bags.  The previous year we had a 6-person tent that fit our mattress and stuff great, but we borrowed it and decided to invest in a family-sized tent for future trips with Toadie.
