Bonnaroo Fashion - 2008

Sunglasses are a must! :)  And I am never afraid to accessorize.  D's scarf kept her scalp from burning.  No trees to hide under when in Centeroo.

It gets cold at night.  Bring a hoodie/windbreaker.  And don't be afraid to accessorize! :)

On the grounds of Centeroo (that is the Fuse cabin - only "real" building on the Farm).  Notice lots of backpacks and lots of cargo shorts on the guys.

Happenings in Centeroo.  Don't worry, not everyone wears a costume.

Be prepared for rain!

Okay, so this is in Subway on the way home.  But this is the sort of sun dress that I loved at Bonnaroo.  Rocked those beads while there too.  Only change was wearing my "camp flip flops" for the ride home.  You can see the dirt marks on my ankles from my Crocs.

I personally don't recommend chain mail.  It gets too hot.  Ouch!

What I wore the first day.  On the bottom I had either camo cargo shorts or cutoff denim.

The previous year, K bought this hat at a gas station in Tennessee.  He shoved it in his duffle, then in the closet and then in the pantry.  He dug it out for this second trip to Bonnaroo.  I think we still have it in the laundry room and he will probably wear it again this year.

Have Camelbak and battery operated fan, will travel.

Our group at Pearl Jam.  As you see, we had even more layers in our bags for when it got even colder.

Centeroo.  See, only SOME people wear costumes...

Setting up camp at a show.  Think this was Umphrey's McGee/Les Claypool.  Put down your ground covers, your backpacks to lay claim to a space.  Someone usually stays with the stuff while other people get beer/head to the porta potty/get closer to crowd surf, etc.  My bag is the yellow one - bladder full of water, bandanna at the ready, my Bonnaroo book (you get when you arrive - has schedules etc. in it) in the front pocket.  Inside the bag is most likely my camera, a Sharpie or two, some snacks (granola bars), ziploc baggies of sanitizing wipes and TP and personal wipes, lip balm with SPF, sunscreen, my cell phone.  That pink thing is a cotton shawl my mom got me from Africa.  Heavy cotton, about the size of a beach towel.  Will tuck in the bungee straps of my backpack when walking around Centeroo.

Aww, the cute couple outside the gates to Centeroo.  That turquoise fence surrounds Centeroo, there are only two gates to get inside.  RV, VIP and Special Needs camping is closest to Centeroo.  Some camping is in BFE (like 40 minute walk).  We have alwasy been lucky for a 10 minute walk (like 4 blocks away - they have actual streets with names in the camp area).

A typical hot day at the big stage.

Me, D and S at the big stage.  Ozomatli was performing.

Me and my hat.  It's one of those goofy crushable hats - it was originally my mom's.  I am in line to get into Centeroo.  I have put my backpack on my front, already have it unzipped for a quick pass through security so I can move on and see some music!

me and Tiffany and HER hat.

Come on now, you HAVE to have a picture like this!!! :)  Dorky, but a good example of my typical Bonnaroo attire.
